This position is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience in press shop planning, material forecasting, dispatch coordination, and MIS reporting, and who can work closely with production, purchase, quality, and logistics teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Responsible for production planning and control as per customer schedules.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and sharing them with the production team.
- Ensuring daily follow-up with shopfloor teams to meet committed targets.
- Monitoring press shop activities as per approved schedules and adjusting plans as required.
Material Planning & Forecasting
- Responsible for raw material (RM) and BOP purchase planning and forecasting.
- Submission of accurate raw material requirements to the purchase team with timely follow-up.
- Scheduling of BOP items, consumables, packaging materials, and all process-related requirements to avoid line stoppages.
Machine & Capacity Planning
- Planning which components should run on which machines to optimize capacity utilization.
- Determining manpower, equipment, and material requirements based on production demand and customer schedules.
- Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum efficiency with minimum delays.
Data Analysis & MIS Reporting
- Analyzing data from shipping and delivery processes to identify bottlenecks, delays, and improvement opportunities.
- Preparing and submitting daily MIS reports to the Plant Head.
- Tracking production performance, dispatch status, material availability, and backlog data.
Dispatch & Customer Coordination
- Responsible for monitoring all dispatch activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinating with logistics, customers, and internal teams to meet delivery commitments.
- Handling supplier, vendor, and customer coordination as per business requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborating closely with production, quality, purchase, stores, and logistics teams.
- Supporting quality teams in managing priority parts and urgent customer requirements.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in PPC within automotive sheet metal / press shop environment
- Excellent planning, forecasting, and coordination skills
- Sound knowledge of Advance Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards)
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint for MIS and management presentations
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle dynamic production requirements
Candidates with hands-on PPC exposure in automotive press shops and strong data-handling capability will be preferred.
