• Engineer – Import Buying

🧭 Role Overview — What You Will Do

The selected candidate will operate as the Central Import Buyer for 14 Yazaki India plants, playing a key role in ensuring uninterrupted material supply to all manufacturing locations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing import procurement of wiring harness components and associated materials
• Coordinating with global suppliers across multiple countries
• Placing import purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery
• Monitoring shipment schedules, LC documentation, customs requirements, and logistics activities
• Supporting production plants by ensuring material availability as per demand
• Working closely with production planning, finance, logistics, and warehouse teams
• Participating in cost optimization, vendor negotiation, and strategic sourcing initiatives
• Handling escalations, shortages, urgent requirements, and crisis situations effectively

This role is suited for candidates who take ownership, work with accountability, and can handle complex multi-plant coordination.
