Polyplastics, a leading name in the Auto Components Industry, is looking for dynamic Engineering Professionals for its Program Management / New Product Development (NPD) team. Experience in Injection Molding Machines, Paint Shop, and Assembly will be strongly preferred.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional project teams in alignment with APQP methodologies.
Drive weekly project review meetings and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Prepare and present project status, milestone achievements, and action plans.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure experience capture across teams.
Conduct customer project review meetings and close each meeting with documented actions.
Implement and monitor product & process productivity plans from launch till SOP + 90 days.
Track tooling development, validation activities, and coordinate with the plant for line readiness.
Collaborate effectively with internal functions and external stakeholders.
Prepare complete PPAP documentation; experience in MSIL PPAP systems is an added advantage.
Coordinate with internal teams and other plants for NPD-related deliverables.
Perform issue analysis, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions (CAPA).
Track engineering design changes and maintain updated documentation.
Plan and monitor internal investment requirements for project needs.
Report weekly project status on lead time, cost, and quality to management.
Immediate joiners preferred; candidates with Hindi communication skills will have an advantage.

1. What is your experience with APQP, and how do you ensure project milestones are achieved on time?
Answer:
I follow the APQP framework strictly—starting with understanding customer requirements, preparing timelines, risk identification, DFMEA & PFMEA alignment, and DVP tracking. I conduct weekly cross-functional meetings, update red–amber–green (RAG) status, and escalate critical issues early. I ensure each milestone—Prototype, Pilot, PPAP—is closed with proper evidence and approvals.
2. How do you manage NPD review meetings with customers?
Answer:
I prepare agenda-based meetings, present the latest project status, highlight risks, and provide data-backed action plans. I ensure all discussions are captured in MoM, share them within 24 hours, assign responsibilities, and track closure in the next meeting. Maintaining transparency builds customer trust and avoids last-minute surprises.
3. What is your role in tooling development and validation?
Answer:
I track tool design approval, manufacturing progress, trials (T0/T1/T2), part dimensional verification, and mold capability studies. I coordinate between supplier, design team, QA, and plant team to ensure mold readiness aligns with project timelines. I also ensure buyoff and PSW approvals before SOP.
4. How do you prepare and manage PPAP documentation?
Answer:
I compile the full PPAP package including control plans, PFMEA, process flow, capability studies, MSA, dimensional reports, material tests, and trial reports. I have experience submitting PPAP on customer portals, including MSIL PPAP systems. I also ensure proper revision control and documentation as per customer-specific requirements.
5. How do you handle design changes during NPD?
Answer:
I evaluate the impact of design changes on tooling, BOM, cost, timeline, and validation. I update DFMEA/PFMEA, communicate changes to all departments, and revise project plans accordingly. I also make sure old drawings are superseded and all documents are updated for traceability.
6. What is your approach for root cause analysis when issues arise?
Answer:
I follow a structured problem-solving approach—5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, DMAIC if needed. After identifying root cause, I ensure proper containment, corrective action, and preventive actions. I also update PFMEA and SOP to avoid recurrence.
7. How do you coordinate with internal and external stakeholders?
Answer:
I maintain frequent communication with production, QA, maintenance, tool room, suppliers, and customers. I use dashboards, trackers, and escalation matrices. I ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities and align all teams toward the project timeline and quality targets.
8. What is your experience with Injection Molding, Paint Shop, or Assembly processes?
Answer:
I have hands-on exposure to machine setup, mold trials, cycle time optimization, paint shop process flow, defect analysis, curing/flash issues, and assembly line setup. This knowledge helps me foresee risks, plan validation activities, and support the plant team effectively during SOP.

Answer:
I track tool cost, part cost, change cost, and productivity improvements (SOP + 90 days). I ensure cycle time reduction, manpower optimization, scrap reduction, and vendor negotiation support. Regular cost reviews help maintain profitability.

Answer:
I prioritize tasks, use Gantt charts and trackers, maintain high communication frequency, and escalate critical issues early. I also ensure parallel activities wherever possible. Flexibility and quick decision-making help prevent delays.
