Role Overview

The Manager – Buyer / Procurement (SCM) will be responsible for managing sourcing activities related to raw materials, particularly steel commodities, used in automotive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1. New Model Sourcing & Localization

• Manage sourcing activities for new vehicle model development.

• Identify and localize suitable steel grades required for automotive production.

2. Interaction with Steel Mills

• Maintain regular interaction with steel mills and raw material suppliers.

• Monitor supply schedules and stock levels.

• Conduct negotiations related to pricing and supply agreements.

3. Supply Monitoring & Warehouse Coordination

• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure adequate material availability.

• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock allocation processes.

4. IT System Development for Allocation

5. Issue Resolution
