Key Responsibilities
1. BIW Robotic Simulation
Perform robotic simulation for BIW welding lines.
Validate robotic movement, reachability, and collision avoidance.
Ensure optimal robot placement and welding gun positioning.
2. Process Planning
Develop efficient welding process plans for BIW assemblies.
Define sequence of operations for robotic welding stations.
Optimize production flow and workstation layout.
3. Cycle Time Optimization
Analyze and optimize robotic cycle time to increase productivity.
Balance production lines to ensure smooth manufacturing flow.
Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks.
4. Robot & Welding Gun Selection
Select appropriate robots and welding guns based on process requirements.
Evaluate robot payload, reach, and efficiency.
Ensure compatibility with welding automation systems.
5. Simulation & Validation
Conduct virtual simulations to verify welding processes before implementation.
Validate reach studies and tool accessibility.
Support commissioning of welding lines.
6. Collaboration with Engineering Teams
Work closely with design and production teams to improve manufacturability.
Provide feedback for design improvements to enhance welding feasibility.

2.6 – 6 years of relevant experience
Candidates should have hands-on experience in BIW welding simulation and robotic automation in automotive manufacturing plants.
