Mark Exhaust Systems Limited, a leading manufacturer of automobile components, is inviting applications for 50 Diploma Engineer Trainees (DET) and 50 Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) across Production and Quality departments.

🔧 Available Positions

  • DET (Diploma Engineer Trainee)

  • GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee)

Preferred Engineering Streams:
Mechanical • Automobile • Production Engineering


📝 Job Responsibilities

  1. Participate and support 5S, Kaizen, and daily shop-floor improvement activities.

  2. Operate machines, support production processes, and assist with equipment handling.

  3. Contribute to process improvement, quality control, data analysis, and basic maintenance tasks based on role requirements.

  4. Maintain accurate records for production processes, quality data, and equipment maintenance.


💰 Compensation Details

For GET (Graduate Engineer Trainee):

  • 1st Year: ₹18,243/month (CTC)

  • 2nd Year: ₹20,243/month (CTC)

For DET (Diploma Engineer Trainee):

  • 1st Year: ₹17,224/month (CTC)

  • 2nd Year: ₹19,224/month (CTC)

1. Tell me about yourself.

Answer:
I am a Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering graduate/diploma holder with strong interest in manufacturing operations. During my academics/training, I gained hands-on exposure to machines, production processes, 5S, Kaizen, and basic quality concepts. I am eager to begin my career in a company where I can learn shop-floor practices, improve productivity, and contribute to quality improvement activities.


2. What do you understand by 5S?

Answer:
5S is a workplace management system consisting of Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. It helps maintain cleanliness, improves efficiency, reduces waste, and ensures a safe working environment.


3. What is Kaizen?

Answer:
Kaizen means continuous improvement. It focuses on small, incremental improvements done regularly by all employees to eliminate waste, improve quality, and increase productivity.


4. Difference between Product and Process.

Answer:

  • Product: The final output delivered to the customer.

  • Process: The steps, machines, methods, and activities used to create the product.
    A strong process ensures consistent product quality.


5. What is Quality Control (QC)?

Answer:
Quality Control is the activity of checking products or processes to ensure they meet defined standards. It includes inspections, measurements, testing, and monitoring to prevent defects and maintain consistency.


6. What is the role of a DET/GET in Production?

Answer:
A DET/GET supports machine operation, production planning, daily shop-floor activities, process monitoring, 5S, Kaizen, manpower coordination, and helps achieve daily production targets with safety and quality.


7. What is the role of a DET/GET in Quality?

Answer:
A DET/GET assists with incoming inspection, in-process checks, final inspection, reporting defects, preparing quality documents, data analysis, problem-solving, and supporting the team in maintaining zero-defect quality.


8. What is the difference between In-Process and Final Inspection?

Answer:

  • In-Process Inspection: Checking parts during production to identify defects early.

  • Final Inspection: Checking finished products before dispatch.
    In-process inspection prevents defects; final inspection ensures customer satisfaction.


9. What is TPM?

Answer:
Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) aims at zero breakdown, zero defects, and zero accidents by involving operators in basic machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and minor adjustments.
