🔧 Job Title:

Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Service / Revenue Purchase

🎯 Job Purpose:

To ensure smooth plant operations by managing the purchase of required materials and services at the right cost, quality, and time — driving supplier excellence, cost savings, and operational efficiency.

🧩 Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase materials, spares, and services to support plant operations while ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors; float RFQs and obtain competitive quotes.
  • Collaborate with vendors, end users, SCM, and finance teams to ensure seamless material flow and payment processes.
  • Prepare, review, and manage Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Conduct market trend analysis, cost benchmarking, and construct cost structures for improved profitability.
  • Maintain all documentation and reports as per ISO TS 16949, ISO 14001 EMS, and ISO 18001 OHSAS standards.
  • Support system audits and ensure continuous improvement through regular performance reviews.
  • Prepare MIS reports for key performance indicators such as Cost Savings, Delivery Targets, and Vendor Performance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues related to supplies or payments.

🧾 Commodities and Scope of Work:

  • Cost-effective commercial settlements for plant services such as Housekeeping, Technical Cleaning, Gardening, and Contract Drivers.
  • Procurement and contract management for HR and Staffing Services, Recruitment Agencies, Warehouse Operations, and Material Handling Equipment.
  • Negotiations for Repair & Maintenance, AMC/ARC, Production Consumables, and Stationery.
  • Handling Air Ticketing, Taxi Bookings, and other service-related contracts.
  • Exposure to Import Procurement for mechanical, electrical, and electronic spares.
  • Experience in Capex Procurement is a plus.
  • Familiarity with local cost benchmarks and supplier networks is preferred.

💻 Technical Skills:

  • SAP (MM Module) proficiency for purchase order processing and vendor management.
  • Strong command over MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and streamline sourcing processes.

  • Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.
