About the Role

Hitachi Astemo is seeking a talented Engineer – Electronics (R&D) to join our advanced research and development team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for EOL testing, PCB design, and validation of automotive electronic components, contributing to new product introduction and in-house tester development.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform EOL (End-of-Line) testing of automotive electronics parts and develop testers for NPI/NPD projects.

• Work with EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Service) lines and ensure product quality.

• Design and validate PCB layouts using ECAD tools like Pulsonix or Diptrace.

• Develop automated test systems using NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.

• Execute PCBA programming and validation processes.

• Conduct functional, performance, and system testing for electronic components such as:

  • Regulators, Rectifiers, Relays, Flashers

  • Electric Fuel Pumps, Ignition Modules, Coils

  • Sensors, AFM Units, Fuel Pump Modules

• Work on laser trimming processes (preferred) and collaborate with PLC or industrial automation setups.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Hands-on experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand.

• Knowledge of PCB design software and electronics validation.

• Strong understanding of automotive and industrial electronics systems.

• Experience in PCBA programming and troubleshooting.
