Job Overview
- Position: Assistant Manager – Stores & Logistics
- Department: Store & Logistics
- Reports To: Manager – Stores & Logistics
- Location: Chakan–Shikrapur Road, Maharashtra
- Experience Required: 8–10 Years (Automobile Industry Preferred)
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma with Computer Knowledge
- Industry: Automobile / Manufacturing
This is a replacement role requiring strong expertise in SAP-based inventory control, dispatch coordination, and plant store management.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Operations & Inventory Control
- Perform material issue, GRN processing, and stock tracking in SAP.
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and maintenance spares.
- Ensure traceability, FIFO compliance, and shelf-life monitoring.
- Raise stock indents and prevent stock-out situations.
Material Handling & Store Operations
- Manage physical inward and outward material transactions.
- Supervise loading, unloading, identification, and storage location control.
- Ensure proper packing, preservation, and safe handling practices.
- Monitor stock condition and housekeeping standards.
Dispatch & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Handle dispatch planning, documentation, and vehicle arrangement.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, and Production departments.
- Support export documentation and logistics compliance.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives in storage and transportation.
Systems, Compliance & Improvement
- Implement 5S practices across store areas.
- Maintain compliance with ISO, IATF, and EMS standards.
- Use data analysis for inventory optimization and reporting.
- Lead store team activities and operational discipline.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and raw material control.
- Hands-on experience in SAP-based store operations.
- Understanding of maintenance spares, MSDS, and dispatch processes.
- Familiarity with export logistics documentation.
- Ability to analyze data and improve stock efficiency.
- Good team leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
