About the Role

A leading Indian automobile OEM is hiring for Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Part Development Quality (Suspension & Brakes).
The role focuses on supplier quality development, process audits, defect analysis, and continuous improvement for brake and suspension components.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle part development and quality assurance for suspension and brake system parts.
• Manage line quality issues, conduct inspections, and perform defect analysis at supplier sites.
• Lead process audits, corrective actions, and vendor improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement countermeasures for in-house and market failures.
• Plan and execute zero-defect production line setups at vendor locations.
• Evaluate and inspect brake and suspension components using various instruments and testing methods.
• Support APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and Six Sigma quality tools during new part development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and quality-approved part launches.
• Work on fixture, jig, gauge, and welding process validation (MIG/Spot Welding).
• Manage customer complaints and internal customer quality concerns effectively.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of suspension and brake part manufacturing processes (welding, casting, machining, sheet metal).
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools, leak testing equipment, and welding validation.
• Proven ability to manage supplier quality improvement projects.
• Sound understanding of quality tools such as APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Experience & Qualification

• Diploma: 9–13 years of relevant experience.
• B.E. / B.Tech: 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in automotive supplier quality or component development is highly preferred.
