🔧 Role Overview
The NPD Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for leading New Product Development (NPD) and industrialization of motor products such as Traction Motors, Starter Motors, BLDC Motors, and Magneto Assemblies.
You will work closely with design, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth transition from prototype to mass production, while driving excellence in process design, automation, and lean manufacturing.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute end-to-end NPD projects in the motor division, from concept to production readiness.
Collaborate with design, R&D, and tooling teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and process optimization.
Prepare and maintain Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, and Control Plans for all new products.
Implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles and ensure automation readiness for high-volume production.
Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies to optimize efficiency and eliminate waste in new production lines.
Conduct trial builds, capability studies (Cp/Cpk), and validate manufacturing processes.
Ensure product and process compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
Collaborate with suppliers for tooling, fixtures, and process equipment development.
Participate in APQP, PPAP, and SOP reviews to ensure project milestones are met.
Support cross-functional problem-solving and root cause analysis during product launch.

Strong exposure to electromechanical product development and industrialization of motors (Traction, Starter, BLDC, or Magneto).
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and GD&T standards.
Experience in process validation, automation, and line setup.
Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, ISO/IATF 16949 systems.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and technical reporting skills.
Excellent communication and team coordination abilities.
