📍 Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
🎓 Qualification: B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical, Automobile, or Production preferred)
💼 Experience: 3 – 8 Years in Paint Shop Operations or Manufacturing Engineering

Role Overview
As an Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Assistant Manager – Liquid Painting (ME), you will be responsible for process development, quality improvement, and automation in liquid painting operations. The role demands a strong technical foundation in robot programming, PLC logic, CAD layout understanding, and paint quality systems.
You will play a key role in enhancing painting efficiency, improving OK rates, achieving First Time Through (FTT) quality, and leading energy and cost optimization projects.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Possess basic knowledge of CAD drawings and ability to create or interpret paint shop layouts.
✅ Experience in robot programming, process parameter tuning, and appearance quality improvements.
✅ Work towards OK rate enhancement and FTT (First Time Through) process improvements.
✅ Identify and implement projects focused on energy consumption reduction and increasing the green energy index within the paint shop.
✅ Lead improvement initiatives in robot maintenance, troubleshoot automation issues, and eliminate PLC operation errors.
✅ Handle PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for painted components ensuring process validation and documentation compliance.
✅ Drive cost reduction, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) reduction, and capacity enhancement projects.
✅ Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental standards in the paint shop.
✅ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and R&D for continuous improvement.
Desired Skills and Competencies
Strong hands-on experience in liquid painting processes and automated paint application systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming, robot programming (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA preferred), and maintenance troubleshooting.
