About the Role

As a Project Manager / Group Manager (PLM), you will play a key role in managing and coordinating new product development (NPD) and model planning initiatives for Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming vehicles. This role is highly collaborative, requiring interaction with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, validation, sourcing, and production to deliver on project timelines, quality benchmarks, and strategic objectives.

You will act as the bridge between management and technical teams—ensuring every stage of the product lifecycle runs smoothly and aligns with Maruti Suzuki’s vision of delivering excellence in design, performance, and safety.


Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead and manage multiple automotive product development projects, ensuring timely execution from concept to production.
✅ Translate customer requirements and market needs into actionable project plans and technical deliverables.
✅ Coordinate across cross-functional teams for smooth progress of model planning and execution.
✅ Track, review, and report project milestones, risks, and performance metrics to management.
✅ Manage Engineering Change Notes (ECN), Integrated Bill of Materials (IBOM), and part development documentation.
✅ Drive continuous improvement in product development and validation processes.
✅ Support technical reviews, approval cycles, and prototype builds.
✅ Build, mentor, and nurture high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.


What You’ll Need

🎓 Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or related engineering discipline.
💼 Experience: Demonstrated experience in Project Planning, Management, and Execution within the automotive industry.
🧠 Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, parts development, and validation cycles.

  • Experience working with IBOM, ECN, and other documentation tools.

  • Awareness of emerging automotive technologies (EVs, hybrid systems, ADAS, connectivity).
    📊 Tools & Software: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for reporting, tracking, and presentations.
    🚗 License: Valid car driving license is mandatory.
