Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for dimensional engineering activities related to automotive vehicle systems and components.

1. CAD and Drawing Engineering

• Create and manipulate geometry using CATIA V5.
• Work with 2D engineering drawings according to ASME Y14.5-2009 standards.
• Review product geometry and dimensional requirements.
• Support engineering teams with CAD-related dimensional activities.

2. GD&T and Datum Selection

Candidates should have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

The role involves:

• Datum selection principles
• Practical application of GD&T
• Dimensional scheme development
• Drawing interpretation
• Tolerance understanding
• Dimensional variation control

3. Digital 3D CAD Reviews

The position requires participation in 3D CAD reviews considering:

• DFM – Design for Manufacturing
• DFA – Design for Assembly
• Dimensional requirements
• Interface conditions

The engineer may also be involved in sign-off activities related to dimensional engineering.
