We are currently seeking experienced professionals for our Supply Chain Management (SCM) department at our Oragadam, Chennai plant.

These positions are critical to ensuring a seamless flow of materials, optimizing supplier performance, and maintaining cost efficiency in line with Subros’ world-class manufacturing standards.

👤 Available Positions:

1️⃣ Deputy Manager – Supply Chain Management
2️⃣ Engineer – Supply Chain Management

Experience Required: 5–12 years (depending on the role)
Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical, Production, or related fields preferred)

📋 Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management (BOM-Based):

• Handle end-to-end procurement for assigned product lines based on Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Ensure timely sourcing of components and raw materials in line with production requirements.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels while adhering to cost, quality, and delivery targets.

• Vendor Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.

• Maintain strong relationships with domestic and international vendors.

• Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with Subros standards.

• Support localization initiatives and vendor capability development.

• SAP & System Knowledge:

• Use SAP modules effectively for purchase order processing, vendor data management, and stock monitoring.

• Ensure accuracy in data entries, reports, and analysis to support decision-making.

• Negotiation and Cost Optimization:

• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.

• Implement cost reduction strategies through alternate sourcing, VA/VE activities, and supplier collaboration.

• Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Collaborate closely with production, quality, logistics, and finance teams to streamline the supply chain process.

• Ensure timely resolution of material shortages, quality issues, and delivery discrepancies.

• Continuous Improvement:

• Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within SCM.

• Track KPIs such as supplier on-time delivery, cost savings, and procurement cycle time.

🎯 Desired Candidate Profile:

• 5–12 years of hands-on experience in automotive or manufacturing supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and sourcing strategies.
• Working knowledge of SAP and other ERP tools.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
• Exposure to Tier-1 automotive manufacturing will be an added advantage.
