Role Purpose

The In-House Quality Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring product and process quality across all manufacturing stages. The role involves shift-wise quality control, defect analysis, supplier and in-process inspection, and driving continuous improvement through Kaizen and PDCA methodology.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and monitor shift QC activities for incoming material, in-process, and finished components.
• Inspect and ensure quality of ferrous and non-ferrous engine castings.
• Provide timely feedback to production teams on wall thickness variation, shrinkage, and other casting defects.
• Implement and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
• Operate laboratory and inspection equipment such as Roughness Tester, Hardness Tester, sand and aluminium testing tools.
• Perform drawing reading, cut-section inspection, and dimensional verification.
• Develop operation standards, control plans, and inspection procedures.
• Analyze defects using PDCA, 7 QC Tools, and Kaizen and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct NDT of castings and monitor RC sand control processes.
• Ensure 5S, safety, and housekeeping compliance in the quality area.
• Train and develop supervisors and associates to enhance quality awareness and skill levels.
• Prepare quality reports, trend analysis, and presentations using Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in  component quality control.
• Strong knowledge of defect analysis.
• Excellent drawing interpretation and metrology skills.

• BE/BTech or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy or related field preferred.
