As we expand our production capabilities, we’re seeking a strategic and technically strong sourcing professional to lead procurement for one of the most critical domains — Body in White (BIW).

🧩 Position Overview – Euler Motors is Hiring – Sourcing Manager

The Sourcing Manager – BIW will serve as the commercial and strategic owner for all procurement activities related to the vehicle body structure.
This role demands a rare combination of technical depth, commercial acumen, and supply chain expertise to ensure a robust, cost-effective, and high-quality supply base.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for BIW aligned with cost, quality, and innovation goals.

• Lead the complete sourcing cycle — RFQ, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract finalization, and long-term supply management.

• Conduct market research and supplier benchmarking to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging technologies.

2. Cost Optimization & Commercial Negotiation

• Utilize zero-based costing and should-cost modeling to analyze and optimize component cost structures.

• Lead technical and commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing and payment terms.

• Drive annual cost reduction programs through VA/VE initiatives, design optimization, and supplier process improvements.

3. Technical Vendor Development

• Lead supplier identification, development, and qualification for BIW commodities such as stampings, castings, forgings, and machined parts.

• Audit supplier facilities for manufacturing capability, tooling design, quality systems, and capacity.

• Build and maintain a robust supplier network capable of supporting prototype and mass production volumes.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Design and BIW Engineering teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Cost (DFC).

• Manage sourcing deliverables through tooling development, sample approvals, and APQP/PPAP milestones.

• Collaborate with the Quality team to set and maintain strict supplier quality standards.

5. Supply Chain Performance & Risk Management

• Monitor supplier performance using Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Technology (QDCT) KPIs.

• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies such as dual sourcing, localization, and buffer inventory programs.

• Ensure on-time delivery for prototype builds and production schedules.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, or related Engineering discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the automotive industry.

• Proven expertise in sheet metal, castings (aluminum/iron), forgings, and machined components sourcing.

• Strong command of manufacturing processes, tooling & fixture design, and supplier development.

• Hands-on experience with zero-based costing, APQP, PPAP, GD&T, and DFMEA.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
