About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Development Quality Engineer to join our Quality/NPD team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our product development process—from concept to production—meets all internal and customer-specific quality standards. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in APQP processes, vendor coordination, and product validation in the automotive or manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. APQP & Project Development

• Conduct feasibility assessments for manufacturing and testing processes.

• Develop and manage project timelines to meet key deliverables.

• Collaborate with vendors for tool design, prototype development, and serial production readiness.

• Supervise mold trials and ensure component testing aligns with customer specs.

• Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements.

2. Product Iteration & Handover

• Track and document each development iteration methodically.

• Ensure completion of product development in six or fewer iterations.

• Lead root cause analysis and implement CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).

• Validate and document all design and process changes.

3. Prototypes to Serial Production (Capex to WCR)

• Create timing plans post project nomination for all components.

• Align prototype development with APQP standards and submission deadlines.

• Coordinate with internal/external testing labs and ensure timely test report availability.

• Review and validate all test reports before customer submission.

• Submit fully verified PPAP and ensure CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance.

• Transfer approved components and documentation to the Production Engineering (PE) team.

4. Customer Interaction & Quality Assurance

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring on-time delivery of commitments.

• Lead technical discussions to address issues, solutions, and preventive actions.

• Resolve customer complaints related to product quality or performance swiftly.

• Conduct PFMEA and prepare all relevant documentation for pre-launch activities.

• Deliver validated SOPs, Control Plans, Drawings, and other quality documentation to PE post-approval.

Required Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and Control Plans.

• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication and coordination across cross-functional teams.

• Hands-on experience with product testing, validation, and documentation.
