About the Role

Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd is looking for an experienced professional for the position of Deputy Manager / Manager – Manufacturing Technology (BIW Projects).
The ideal candidate will play a key role in process development, new model introductions, and engineering change management within Body-in-White (BIW) operations, ensuring excellence in quality, cost, and delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Lead process development, validation, and implementation across the Body Shop.
Provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) inputs during early development phases.
Conduct feasibility studies and support prototype and early-stage trials.
Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN) to ensure seamless production integration.
Drive APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA processes and ensure supplier readiness for new launches.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Oversee BIW fixture design, validation, and commissioning to ensure manufacturability and line stability.

Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in BIW manufacturing processes, fixture design, and validation.
Proven track record in process engineering, project leadership, and cross-functional coordination.
Proficient in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and performance.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering (Full-time).
8–12 years of relevant experience in automotive process engineering, project management, or manufacturing technology roles.
