🔧 About the Role

SKH Metals invites applications from dynamic and experienced female professionals to lead and manage welding production operations in our state-of-the-art Weld Shop. The role demands a strong understanding of robotic welding systems, automation processes, and production management. The selected candidate will play a key part in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.

🏭 Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ABB, Yaskawa, and Panasonic robots used in MIG and Spot welding.

• Develop and implement robotic programs and welding parameters for consistent, high-quality weld output.

• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve breakdowns and minimize downtime.

• Ensure periodic calibration and preventive maintenance of robotic systems.

• Plan and execute daily and monthly production schedules aligned with customer delivery timelines.

• Monitor shift-wise performance, manpower deployment, and resource utilization.

• Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvement actions to enhance throughput and efficiency.

• Review process quality metrics and take corrective actions for weld defects or process deviations.

• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring issues.

• Drive continuous improvement projects focusing on productivity, cost optimization, and waste reduction.

• Promote a zero-incident culture by ensuring full adherence to safety norms, PPE usage, and work discipline.

• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and team awareness sessions.

• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS/IATF quality and environmental standards.

• Lead, train, and mentor the weld shop team, encouraging a culture of accountability and excellence.

• Coordinate with cross-functional departments — Maintenance, Quality, Production Planning, and Design — for smooth workflow.

• Prepare and present reports on production performance, downtime analysis, and improvement initiatives to management.

🎯 Skills & Competencies Required

• In-depth knowledge of robotic welding programming and automation systems (ABB, Yaskawa, Panasonic).

• Strong understanding of MIG, TIG, and Spot welding processes and related parameters.

• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in production planning, line balancing, and OEE improvement.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and lean manufacturing principles.
