B.E. / M.E. in Mechanical, Automobile, or Mechatronics Engineering

🧭 Key Responsibilities

• Lead design quality initiatives for both Electric and IC Powertrain systems — including Engines, Gearboxes, Motors, and Battery Packs.
• Ensure designs meet global standards of reliability, manufacturability, and durability.
• Apply expertise in casting, machining, sheet metal, plastic, and hydraulic components.
• Drive DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation processes from concept to production.
• Align design strategies with business goals and global quality benchmarks.
• Conduct detailed drawing checks, GD&T analysis, and tolerance stack-up calculations.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Validation teams.
• Mentor and lead a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver design excellence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, Six Sigma, and defect prevention initiatives.

🧩 Desired Candidate Profile

• 12+ years of experience in automotive design and development (OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or EV startups).
• Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Strong background in Powertrain Design, including engine, transmission, and electric drive systems.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or UG NX with 2D drawing preparation skills.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Cost (DFC), Design for Service (DFS), and APQP processes.
• Certified in Six Sigma / Quality Engineering will be an advantage.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
