The Line Incharge – Engine role is a critical position within the Production and Quality function. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing engine assembly operations, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining smooth production flow.

Roles and Responsibilities

When Hero MotoCorp is hiring a Line Incharge – Engine, the expectation is full ownership of the assembly line with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

1️⃣ High-Quality Manufacturing

• Ensure manufacturing of engines as per defined specifications and global quality standards
• Monitor engine assembly processes to prevent defects and rework
• Maintain consistency in output while meeting daily production targets

2️⃣ Quality Improvement & Build-Up Quality

• Plan and execute quality improvement initiatives across the engine line
• Evaluate process capability and machine capability
• Ensure effective operation of Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) machines
• Reduce rejection, waste, and downtime through systematic problem-solving

3️⃣ Flexible & Robust Production Systems

• Support development of a flexible production system for mass production
• Pre-empt losses during new model launch, ramp-up, or line changes
• Ensure defect-free production during critical phases

Cross-Functional Coordination

A Line Incharge – Engine works closely with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations:

• Maintenance Team: Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance
• SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance): Ensure quality of bought-out engine parts
• Audit Teams: Support internal and external quality audits
• Production Planning: Align manpower and output with production schedules

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Total Experience:
